    Default Falls reservoir at Badin

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this..

Are there enough panfish in this body of water to add it to my list of go-to areas?? A friend who targets cats and striper goes there but had little to no info about crappie, large gills and maybe shellcracker. I'd love to scout around in my kayak. Is it a safe area to spend time?

    Thanks for any info provided..

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to get over there and give it a try.

be careful as you round the hard right turn upriver from the boat ramp. It gets rocky and shallow.

the channel runs to the left but in a kayak youll be fine as long as the dam isnt open at which point u couldn't paddle up there anyway

Used to fish there 20 years ago with my grandpa. Back then lots of perch, some slab crappie and nice catfish with stripers at the dam. Been itching to take my skiff back up there and scout around. Grandpa passed away last year so I think I'll make a trip in his memory.

How was you catching the stripers? Live bait or trolling bucktails?
