Read back through the Taylorsville fishing reports posted on the KY state forum.
The KDFWR map of fish attractors will only help you if you fish brush put out in the "river end" of the lake, as most of those attractors in the lower/main lake area are stake beds, and many of them are in very shallow water.
In my experiences with Taylorsville Lake ... fallen timber & standing timber are the two most obvious places to find fish. The fish there seem to take a liking to blu/char tubes and pink Roadrunners, most of the time. And if you can find either fallen or standing timber on a bank that stays in the shade most of the day, you'll usually find fish around them (provided you get to them first) After the word got out that the Crappie at T-ville had gotten into the 11-14" length range & in good numbers, over the last couple of years, the fishing pressure has doubled during the week & more than tripled on the weekends
and I don't expect it to be any different this year.
