We loaded up and hit the road early Thursday morning and got to the lake mid morning. I knew that they have been doing pretty well back in Little River but did not want to get in the middle of that mess of boats if I didn't have to so I went looking. I put in at big spring creek to see what I could find. The answer was not much there or in Cowan did mark a few fish out in the river channel but they was not wanting to play. So we loaded up and went to Yellow creek. Yellow was full of bait and strippers but did not pick up any Crappie. We put it back on the trailer and headed to check in at little river. Got check in and still had a few hours to fish so we ran up little river. The fish was stacked up in there. We started pulling and put 18 keepers in the boat before it got dark.
Got up Friday morning and went back up little river and picked up 37 before my battery's on TM crapped out on me. I thought that was strange it should have lasted a lot longer. Someone may have hit the cord and it may not gotten a full charge.
Went out Saturday morning and had 11 in the box before the armada showed up. I counted 46 boats all balled up in one spot. I can't stand to fish like that so I ran to the back of little river to try and get away from the crowd. There was a few fish in the back in 5 fow but the bite had really soft. If was not paying attention you would never see it. About noon I checked the battery level and it was all ready half dead. I had to have a bad battery. Off I go to get them tested and sure enough I had a weak one. Got it replaced and needed to come up with a new plan. I was not going to go back up in Little River and fight with all of those boats. So I put in down by the dam to see if I can find a few. I ran up to Bay Springs and found a little something and was the only one back there. I ended up the day with 18 but I had a plan for Sunday I was going to start off pulling jigs then go to pushing minnows.
Sunday fished all day on the lower part of the lake had 10 pulling and 29 pushing minnows. All of them was caught in 9 fow or less.
Monday I decided that I would spider rig all day. I went to big spring creek to start off to give some time for some of the boats clear out of where I wanted to fish at. I fished back there till noon only got 10 bites but they was the right ones the smallest of the10 was 11" and the biggest was just over 15". I loaded up and headed to work on some of the fish I found the day before. I fished that 100 yard stretch for the next 4 hours and put 39 in the box. Most of the bites was so lite they was hard to detect. You had to stay on your toes. But when you hung one they would go nuts.
Most of the fish are still hanging out in the deep water but you can find some in shallow water. Some of the male's you could see where they have been fanning. They had bloody tails and marks on the side of them.

Great report! Thanks for sharing .the warmer temps should put them on the move
Too blessed to be stressed!
Sounds like you had a couple of great days. Thanks for the report and pics!!
Great report, thanks for posting. Could someone answer why Little River is so hot this time of year? It seems to me there are other parts of the lake that mimic the same conditions, ( channels, water depth, points). I,like Kenja have purposely tried to fish other parts of the lake without success when I know they are biting at little river just to stay away from the boats. Just boggles me!
I am convinced that it's not the only place that there are. But it's hard to go spend a day or two to go find them someplace else when you only have a few days to fish and you know that they are stacked up in there. This is the second year that I have made it a point to go find some away from the crowd. Some people think that all the fish are doing the something at the same time and that is not the case.

How much for a day trip guided...
I am not sure what a guided trip would cost but I would guess around 300 for a day. It maybe hard to find one this time of the year.
