    Default Night Fishing Russell

Anyone been out at night on Russell yet? I think I will go Friday night. High of 79 and overnight low of 59. NOT BAD for sitting on a boat all night in Feb. Any suggestions on where to try? Was thinking the Coldwater bridge, but I have a few options based on past trips over the years. I just haven't mastered the trick to daytime crappie as of yet. Night seems to work out better for me and let the fish find me. lol

You may be picking a good place to set up for a night stalk, as good as any right now. Never been much of a bridge fisherman at night but atleast you will be in good water for any fish to be using making runs to the tree top beyond the bridge. Good luck

Havent decided where to go as of yet. If i hit CW, i will but in at state park ramp nearby. I know a few good places in Bond Creek and Indian creek as well. I just hate to make a bad choice this time of year. Makes for a lonnggg night. Taking my daughter with me most likely. Hate to have her not catch any.

Always like to night fish about half way up the creek run in CW. Seemed to do well Year around there.
The park is the safest ramp at night or as safe as it gets.

Try looking for ledge put your boat at 1 part ND the stern at the deeper PART
Not all crappies hang at the bridges. They will move around at night..

I second that. There has been ALOT of vehicles broken into at night all around the 3 lakes over the years. By going into a paying place just maybe the rogues will stay away.
