Default First outing of the year

Beaver Lake. 62° air temp and 53° water temp. Caught my limit in 30' of water using Vienna sausages for bait.

That might be the name of the plastic or the jig . I have seen them bite bare unpainted lead heads here . Hope that is one of your buddies your calling names . If not let's watch name calling on here .

    Nice half bucket
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

Nice catch. I may need to get some of those sausage baits.

In my welcome message it said to share pictures and tell about my outing and that I didn't need to tell about my special, super secrete, fishin hole or lure. jtg is not a buddy, yet. I've been called much worse, especially from my buddies.

Guys, you just can't beat a jig head with a little plastic on it! Find a brush pile or a stump and I'll bet crappie are on it and biting now.

I tried it today. Had a hard time getting the whole sausage on the hook. Big crappie like big baits, or so I've been told, but I could get any of them to bite today. So I ate the sausages myself. But I'd recommend taking the hook out first, it was hard on my teeth.

The tooth deal is minor, wait until you try to pass it.
