Default Maiden voyage for the new elite 7 Ti

Took the new unit out today briefly, did a lot of playing with it and driving around. I like it a lot so far, here are two screenshots I took today, tell me what u think and if I need to tweak something...

Hard to tell from pic, but it looks like you found a brush pile or tree top.

A little lower Contrast will allow fish echoes to show against the bottom background color better ...

looks good.i agree with rickie tho.turning the contrast down will help .objects in the strongest part of the beam coverage area, will be hard to see(in that shot).I like to keep my si sensitivity(contrast) turned down as low as possible

Here is the 1st pic again with indications of white dot echoes that I feel could possibly be fish echoes shown only over the bottom detail ...

I add this as a visual reference (for those following your thread) of why lowering the Contrast some (contrast as in a Lowrance) might help discern if these specific echoes might actually be fish ...

I totally agree brighter SI images (any brand) are "prettier" on the Internet ... and definitely show fish echoes in the water column better - brighter SI images also wash out the white dot echoes that are over (and blending into) the bottom detail ...

In a nutshell = when the target(s) of interest are in the water column - absolutely raise the Contrast ...

When the target(s) of interest are away from the boat and suspected over the bottom detail - lower the Contrast some...
