Afternoon gents
While I know this is a crappie forum we are our love for all things fishing makes this place great. With that said I'm looking at a trip down to Charleston for a few days in may and just seeing if you guys had any recommendations on where to do a little inshore saltwater fishing. Ideal scenario would be some surf fishing while my wife works on her tan but with "no lines"but sc seems pretty conservative for that. Any inshore guides or easy kayak spots? Thanks in advance!

Check out the charlestonfishing.com site.
You can get some reports from there.

You can call or go online to www.haddrellspoint.com for latest info and they book guides there also. If you have not been to their store, it's worth a trip while you're down there.

Edisto beach offers family friendly, far less crowded beaches, with ample surf, inter coastal waterway, and creek fishing that should satisfy all your needs. In Charleston, I would recommend the park and pier located right under the Cooper river bridge on Patriots Point.

Tim's right about Edisto Beach. That was our favorite campgound when we had our motorhome. You can pay a small day use fee to get into Edisto Beach State Park and then walk up the beach(north) and run out of people. There is a creek that comes out of the marsh into the ocean up that way so the only walking access is from the park.
The only drawback is it is a ways to drive to it, take you a good bit longer than going to Charleston. We always went for a week so we didn't mind the drive.
