Default 12 Aerator for minnows and live well

I want to install a 12 v bubble aerator and control it with a switch. What is the best way to wire it so I don't harm anything else. I have 2009 Nitro with an aux. power switch that controls pumps and electronics. Can I go to same fuse panel? What size fuse would be best?

I did this on my boat. I use a 15 am fuse. I installed a separate toggle switch so I can let them run to and from the lake without running electronics.

I bought a separate switch also. Just hate drilling new holes!

Not to power an aerator, but I installed these 2 lighted toggle switches to run led lights in my storage compartment and around the gunnels. They were like $5 each at academy. I think they are Shore Marine. Required drilling a 1/2 inch hole and were easy to wire. I had a few empty fuse slots in the factory fuse panel and used them with 3 amp fuses. I think my livewell pump is on a 5 amp but would have to check to make sure. Use whatever size fuse required for your draw. I installed a separate fuse box with independent wiring from the batter to run my electronics so I wouldn't risk any interference.

JT, where you planing on mounting the pump. If it will be easy to access I would run a wire to fuse panel then split wire at the pump and install switch right at pump. No holes to drill. Just make you a small bracket and attach it with mounting screws at the pump.

Wired mine to the battery with a switch and inline fuse. This way I can turn everything else off and keep air on my minnows.
