Only when I'm not catching fish for me! Even then I've been know to stay way too long fighting it and catching nothing. I just have a hard time giving up. I always think I can figure something out and make them bite.

I been fishing more in the wind lately but some lakes have very limited protection from wind . I ran trolling motor 70 to 90 % (Minnkota Maxxum 24 volt 70 lb thrust ) . Ever time got blown off the fish had to use big motor to pull back up . White caps pounded the boat and wind gust almost blew jig pole out of my hand . Hard to keep bait down in the wind and huge bow the the line . Caught a good limit 12 to 15'' fish but not sure worth the trouble .![]()
i fish mainly conway in a 14 ft jonboat with a 15hp merc and a 45 lb thrust minn kota edge 12v. 10 mph wears me out and anything over 15 usually makes me give it up.

Never to windy to hang in a tourney. Gotta do whatcha gotta do then.

Fished blue mountain last Friday with "lake wind advisory". I gave up around 2pm with 9 keepers in the live well. Seemed when the wind started blowing real hard that only small fish were biting. Keeping control of an 18' tin boat in the wind will wear ya out

I fish as long as I'm enjoying it. If conditions, too hot, cold, or too windy are such that it's no longer fun, I go to the shed.
I can fish tomorrow. Some folks stay when it's too windy to hall gravel. Just not attractive to me. I don't have a thing
to prove.
Tell'em I'll be there.RMGeorge LIKED above post
Based on lake, but 15mph is pushing it for me.
The wind kept me from going Sunday. I had about 2 1/2 hours I could have fished Catherine or Hamilton. Forecasted wind was 10-12 with gusts to 29. I stayed home and fired up the forge and worked on a boar spear. The wind was so bad it made keeping my propane forge running right tough. I hope next time I get a little free time the wind will be manageable.
