Thanks for the positive feedback and the concerns about the handles. I think I will try to change it up a bit now

I speak from experience. I started out with 5 gallon buckets with slots cut out. (Saw on youtube) Soon as I saw what it was doing to my handles, had to go on and spend that money.

Nice job. I've seen some similar homemade racks before. Lots of ways to skin a cat.![]()

If you cut the holes a little bigger, you could trim it with some foam strips that are for sealing windows. If you aren't worried about the looks, I am sure that would save the handles from being boogered up from the pvc.
Those look great and the idea should work.

Looks better than first ones I made! It will work. Good advice they gave you on the handles tho. Good Luck!
Once you get your holes bigger, you might can spray something like flex seal on those edges to help protect your handles. I love ingenuity, great job.
Looks fantastic!!! I will say tho....the first trip u fish like that and smoke em........You wont fish any other way!!!!
Like others said, make the holes bigger. Easy fix to protect handles. Get a roll of electrical tape, wrap 4/5 layers as tight as you can pull it about 3 inches where poles are going to sit in holder to protect foam. Also you could take a file to the sharp edges of the hole and smooth them up.

Ok so I've read everyone's concerns about the pvc messing my handles up. So I got home from work this evening and made some changes. I think these will work a lot better. Made from all thread.
