I've done this a couple of times at Lake Claiborne. I was using a wind sock and I matched the jig size to the speed I was being pushed along. I motored to the north bank and just drifted across the dam end of the lake. The trolling motor enjoyed this technique as well. The wind wasn't a gale but strong enough to use the sock and slow the boat to a nice crawl. When I would approach the south bank, I would crank up and do it again. I've done this at Larto as well. I keep a wind sock in my boat. SLIP
