GPS and a good map card is more useful than sonar.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

If you're gonna be pushing jigs (spider riggin) I'd try to find a decent used unit that also gives you speed. I'm finding speed is as or more critical that color of jig. The right combo of both is ideal, but speed for presentation is king in my world right now. Good luck....have fun and lie like he--. lol

I have a lowrance elite 4 that has gps down imaging and sonar that's a pretty good little unit once you learn what fish look like on it and how to use it. The only thing I don't like is you can't network it with another unit. If I had to recommend anything though I would say don't get anything under a 7 inch screen. The Garmin units are solid for the money

The Helix 5 is about as good as it gets on a budget. A NEW sonar only is 2-250.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
