It has been Two a half weeks without the Computer ... It is an Addiction ,,weather Solitare, jigsaw Puzzels or CDC. It gets into deepest Cravings you have. Our Computer had to be sent out to get a new Screen installed under Extended Warranty that covered a broken screen. I had been looking at U-Tube video when we recieved a call from a friend to come over. I layed the Headphone down so it would go to sleep and be where i Wanted when we got back. The Wife put the headphone on the laptop and closed the lid.. Thunder Storms and Scared Weenie dogs in HEAT are not good combinations. When she got up on the desk it broke in the middle. We put the computer in the shop to download all the Files and a good thing we did. Many things were gone from Memory when we got it back Today.... My point is make a Compressed File of everything on your computer that you need to restore what is needed. What if all your Tax Records were not backed up and you lost those files ---- My luck an Audit would follow

I have an external solid state hard drive which is about the size of a business card (no moving parts and is connected with an USB connection). Dirt cheap at Office Depot with storage in the TB range (that's over a 1,000 GB), which is huge. Compression isn't needed in file storage with the capacity available. Everything goes there - not on the computer. And if it's important, I store on a redundant just in case.

I'm sure thunderstorms and scared weenie dogs in heat are not a good combination. Abby gets uptight big time. Ernie does on occasion only because he watches his sister. He does that because he sees the attention his sister is getting. Labs are knuckleheads.
