Building a new set of Rod holders for the Lund. These are single stalk rod holders. What spacing works for most people? I only have 33" across the bow, in front of the forward seat bases. Unless I move it back some, then it will block the 2 front storage boxes. I was thinking space 6 out on that. The mounting bracket on bottom is 2" wide. Going with 6 across that will give me 5 3/4" between them. Then mount one back just a bit on both sides.
The tops will not be as wide as the Drift Master Single stalk's are.
Now I can move back to the rear front deck seat bases. And have more room then I need to floor mount them. But then I cover the center rod locker lid. Front livewell and one big compartment.
I'm thinking the 5 3/4" between them will be plenty. But thought I would ask before I rivet them to the base that will be screwed to the front deck. Thought I would Rivet them in, and after I know the spacing is good. Then weld them on later on.
Will post pic's after I have them in the boat and ready to use.

Mine are 5" but it is a little tight. If you are replacing one you may have to turn the one next to it a little to screw the new
one in. After they are in and set, that spacing works fine.
Tell'em I'll be there.
If you are talking about the Driftmaster crappie stalkers there is a youtube video with David from Driftmaster showing how to mount and talks about spacing.
