    Default Black Lake 1/28/17

After last week's rains the water on the Stretch came up about 3 feet and got real muddy. Last weekend I went out there and struck out. The water is dropping down now so my buddy and cousin came up from Alexandria this weekend and even though it was an extremely slow bite we still managed to scratch up a mess, ended up with 27. We fished all day Saturday and never found any fish piled up. We just picked up one here and there but but they were all quality fish 10-15".

Good job! That water sure looks calm...it was very windy up here.

It got real windy here too but it wasn't too bad early that morning.

Great catch. That's what I like about Black Lake, if the wind gets bad just go around a curve and get out of it. With all those trees it makes it easy.
