Pretty good day despite the cold and wind. Water temp had dropped to 50 degrees. Fished the morning by myself, then picked up Batman to fish around noon. Seems the Batsuit wasn't well insulated, so we were off the lake by 2. The wind had picked up pretty good by then, though, so it was a good time to leave. Brought home 14 and sent them straight to the grease. Caught probably 90% of my fish on blue black chartreuse. Fish were mostly in 12-18 fow. All in all, not a bad last trip to squeeze in before my shoulder surgery on Monday.

Nice mess and a great meal. Good luck on the surgery. I had shoulder surgery when I was in college playing baseball and it was tough.

Thanks TN crappie hunter. The surgery should be lots of fun... At least it's not my casting arm. And if I need help fishing, I've always got Batman to help (or his older brother).

Good job Frogman. Don't cut the beard. I made the mistake too early. Good luck on the surgery.

Nice catch. If you are having rotator cuff done just make sure to stay ahead of the pain. Depending on how bad it is you could be back fishing in 3 days....or 6-8 weeks. My right shoulder was not too bad...was fishing 3 days after surgery. The left one I tore while wade fishing for crappie....when I fell and tried to catch myself. It was tore very bad and was not even sure the tear could be repaired.....took 3 weeks to get back to fishing....I was still in support sling but I reel with my left hand so there was not any pressure on shoulder while fishing....out of sling at 6 weeks. Best of luck.

    Regards

Nice catch and having Batman to help was a big bonus. Good luck on the surgery.
