Default 360 or new mega series

    I have a helix 9si G1. Should I get a 360 or a Mega series unit?

That would depend on which is more important to you ...

Prettier images than you're getting now ...

Or seeing everything around you without moving ...

Mega, the bad.....the higher frequency, will get absorb in a soft bottom (lack of range )
Mega, the good.......fish suspended off the bottom, will have a bright return ,over the darker bottom, making them easier to see

Well, think about it.why would you want to buy a new unit (at new price) to get slightly better ,clearer imaging with less range.455khz is plenty good for most

Get a 360, if you troll, single pole, slip cork, shoot docks, cork and minner it will change the way you fish and make you more productive.

360 would get my vote, more potential to increase catch rate. MEGA would look pretty, but not do anything that 455 and 800 couldn't do for me personally.
