Me and dad got out on the lake again yesterday. The wind was horrible and we had to pull the boat and trailer to a different creek that was a little out of the wind. The fish were very finicky today. I would find stumps in 12 to 20 foot of water that might have a few fish on them and we would vertical jig minnows and jigs. We might catch 2 fish on each stump and then have to find a new one. Towards the end of the day i did see a huge school of crappie on a white oak tree that had recently fell into the creek. We were able to cast at them and caught about 10 before they moved. We ended up with 25 in about 5 hours. Not a bad day dealing with the wind and post cold frontal conditions.
Nice job! Thanks for the report.
