Of the 11 village lakes, only the smallest (36 acre lake Segovia) has a motor restriction. Annual urban bowhunters harvested over 200 deer this season and over 500 in 2015. Doesn't even take care of the annual crop! Drivers always manage to take out a couple of dozen a year . Purchasing an annual pass only allows you access to Village amenities at property owner rates, you would still need to purchase an annual boat pass or pay a launch fee each time.Name: 11-21.2x.jpg

I need to find a way to start fishing the Village lakes if I could expect fish like cache22 is showing. It would be as close as any place I fish, I could be there in minutes.

cache22, I'd like to say there are lake Estrella and another lake by Granada that have motor restrictions also, Segovia you can use trolling motor or the other kind of motor, oars. Lot of turtles on some of these lakes.

Smaller lakes all have speed restrictions (no wake), and lots of times I use trolling motor only. We have always used our big motors on Estrella...... ramp into lake is not good!

Afraid it will take Nimrod a year or two to recover from the drawdown this time . It really got hammered this summer . Pesce I may have to visit you in the village on your next trip down to Arkansas , never saw those lakes .
Why do you think this, did the last drawdown hurt?? I thought the drawdown previous to this year's was to improve fishing by allowing more predation to reduce the population of small fish. All the biomass they plant should improve the spawn this year.

While the draw down may in fact help the spawn, my experience the last three trips showed small fish only. Fish over 10" were about non existent. The small fish will grow but it will take time.

I know there were many limits of 10"+ fish caught and kept during the draw down. The lack of places for the fish to go made it a slaughter.
