    Default Another good day

Well finally got to bring my dad to Bundicks after the farmers market Saturday. I will NOT be posting my catches on facebook anymore b/c when we got out there, there were 3 boats fishing in the same area that I have been catching in the last several trips and another one fishing where I wanted to drop a Christmas tree. Well had to get the Christmas tree out of the boat so we could fish so we had to drop it where he could see too. Oh well, got to get to fishing! Got dad set up and before I could get mine set up dad says I got one! Well he pulls it up and sure enough it was a double with 2 - keepers! I did manage to catch a double later too but both of mine were throw backs. Caught 3 more racing crappies but only one of them was a keeper. Fishing 14 -16 feet deep in 20-25 fow. We ended up keeping 35 plus the small one that fell under the wood of my boat! Dad caught just as many as I did if not more! Sure made a son proud! lol Well enough talking, here are the pictures.
Dad with his first fish of the year - A double with 2 keepers, hard to start off his year of fishing much better than that! Pawpaw gene, notice the hat?! Dad said it was an ugly had but it works well for him and after our successful trip, I don't see him wearing any other hat when he goes!

My double with 2 - throw backs

My keeper racing crappie picture of top and bottom as we had a little discussion on the marking on these.

    With them laid out

And last but not least the sink shot!

Sounds like a good trip. I wonder sometimes about posting reports but I haven't had a issue yet. Great catch.

Y'all nailed them for sure. Glad to see your Dad out with you and wish I could do the same. Tell him that ugly and silly hats are cool.

I went up to Bundicks today just to see what the drive was like. No boat or gear. You don't have to worry about me as it's just out of my range. 100 miles is too much driving and would cut into my fishing time. Water was roaring over the spillway for sure. It was almost over the launch wharf. Only one other boat and he was just trying out his motor. Felt really bad for him as he dropped the boat on the ramp launching.

Really enjoyed the drive though and seeing some different country.
