I did some of that this summer at Santee. Lots of fun tussling with those big cats. That 40# is a hoss!!!
What bait were you using? We used fresh cut herring and cut bream.

Thats a good one for sure, you better watch it, you will get hooked on them cats!!! I am! Hadn't had much time to fish lately, but hopefully next week I'll get back after them. Thanks for the report.

GREAT JOB IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE GETTING IT FIGURED OUT
Thanks for all your comments guys.
Ive been fishing for them a few years now but only every now and again. My biggest problem is I'm still hooked on Longlining for crappies.
Fresh perch fillets as big as your hand.
Thanks. Theres nothing like seeing that pull down. It's ALOT of fun feeling that big one on the rod too.![]()

Great job Butch! Looks like you found some grown ones. I'm sure those big ones were fun to wrestle to the boat. Hate you lost the 30-35 but the new PB made up for it!

Congrats on the PB! I know you had a blast reeling those big 'uns in...every once in a while it's good to experience a different kind of fishing. That's why I like to chase trout....
