North River out of the Albemarle Sound. We put in at Coinjock.
Add to species caught: 1 Chain Pickerel.
After a minor minnow mishap we were able to get on the water and out to the fishing grounds right close to 1st light. Hunter caught the first fish today. Weather improved greatly and that the wind was quieter and there was no rain. The 60 degree forecast temp however did not materialize. Most of the day was foggy but like I said, calm wind.
Catching wise, all three of us were able to catch a decent amount of fish with each of us getting some big Yellow Perch and and at least 1 Slab Crappie a piece as well. The Perch seemed to come in sperts as you definitely needed to be moving around to get on them. By 3:30 or so we fished through 20 dozen Minnows and switched over to Jigs, and fished to 5 o'clock.
Here's some of the Fishing Grounds. For someone who does not get to see this scenery everyday I have to say I sure do enjoy it.
Here's Dennis (Jordanlimit) and Charles (Hunter). I believe that this is the the Big Perch for the day that Dennis Caught.
I enjoyed this years trip!
Until next time....

Where's the fog? I was in the general area on Sat eve and yesterday and it was thick. Looked like there was a catfish tourney on the Northwest when I went by there EARLY Sun morning.
Great report!!! Been having troubles with my trolling motor and did not go. Hope to see ya at the bash.
