    Yep- I have a set-up just like that, but use the bow-string pop technique first then a pocket rock usually if popping it doesn't work.

    Had one in my boat for years and works great. Don't use for crappie jigs much but does come in handy when your camping partner tries to wonder off. Speaking of camping partner this gave me a great idea for his snags......just loaded a kite in my boat.
