    What do you clean your molds with. I use rubbing alcohol

    Never cleaned mine except Do-It plastic molds when 1st purchased due to having a black powder all in the cavities which I'm sure is from the cutting process and them not cleaning the mold afterwards.

    I believe in cleaning them they build a oil on them kinda like a film you don't see

    Oh I really like lakeside. Chuck and his wife are good as gold I've had 5 custom molds done from them

    Acetone. Alchohol is corrosive.

    i stuck a 400.00 mold in castrol degreaser one day. walked away for 5 minutes. came back to a essential series looking mold. got to be very carefull with aluminum. Rubbing alchohol may be fine. Industry standard to clean aluminum in a shop is acetone.

    I've been using rubbing alcohol for about 10 years once a month on my molds never had a problem
