    Default Fast and furious....

Dad and I made another Poverty Point run this morning. I wasn't sure what to expect after three straight days of rain. What do you know though, the fish didn't mind a little fresh water....

We caught a double limit and were loading up at 11 am, it's been a while since we've done that....

Hit the deep water on south end fishing 14 to 16 ft deep. Shiners worked well early but never did nail down one certain jig they wanted today.

They wouldn't touch key lime pie today. Caught a few on bluegrass and electric chicken, few on black and pink, a couple on pop sickle with probably a few more colors in there I'm forgetting.

I hope the rest of the year is as good as our first trip was.... 😊

Thanks for the report Jimmy. Congratulations on the double limit.

Dad gum it, Jimmy ! Every time I swear I'm not ever going back to Poverty, you go over and rack up. I went a half day last week for the afternoon bite and caught one spec & one goo and missed one that jerked my "welfare pole" off the front deck like launching a torpedo......pulled it under the water three times before I finally caught up with it....and he was gone

This is in my dad's boat. 1754 war eagle stick steer, it's his boat but I have to chauffeur him around when we go together.

He has a millinium 4 rod holder up front. Most of the time at poverty I'll have 2 poles in the rack with a double minnow rig and I'll hold 2 poles with jigs and see what's working best.

I've got a similar setup on my boat

Nice catch. Keep an eye on those schools, I'll be back mid February and plan on hitting PP at least once. May have to pump you for a little information.

Bob. I guess I go regular enough I can stay on top of them, it also helps if you're a little lucky.....
