Wow! That was some good size crappie.
Be safe and good luck fishing
Merry christmas to you! now that's a present for yourself. nice to catch bunch like that on a state lake so close.
Nice looking fish.
Great catch! I catch specks few and far between but they always have a bad attitude on the end of a line. I love it!

thanks guys i had a ball that day. the big one was the very first fish i caught and you would have never convinced me i had a crappie on the line till I saw it. i caught another one later that hit so hard that the hook came out one of his gill rackers and he was hooked by the tail (hog tied). didn't even kill the minner. shoulda took a pick of that but didn't.
+1 great day looks like fun, wish we had 50+ water looks like it will only go down from here Sibering husky coming in next week
nice
I love those specks. I bet that sow sent out some good vibrations!
I used to catch lots of big specks in Choctaw Lake (USFS lake on Tombigbee) in the dead of winter. However, the last I fished it, it seemed the white crappie had taken it over. I caught some hogs out of that little lake.
Bluff Lake and Lokafoma Lake used to be the best kept secrets in the state for blue ribbon black crappie waters. And they were as mean as the gators that infested the lake when nesting time came. They let both lakes drain nearly dry for a few years and the fisheries have been decimated as a result. Breaks my heart too.
