Default Question on swapping two Humminbirds

I have a hb 698 on my console and a hb 768 on bow both have the quick connect base, I would like to be able to put the 698 up at bow when tight lining so i could use map card, will the 698 work with the 768 2D transducer?

I understand the SI and DI will not work, but will the unit come on and work in 2D...figured I would ask instead of hurting something.

I just do not tight line enough to really justify another unit...

Yes it will work for 2d ...

You should change the Connected Transducer selection under the Sonar tab to Dual Beam to shut off the 698 SI transmitters ...
