    Default Report:Chickamauga Lake crappie report

Mr S and I bought got new crappie rods for Christmas, so today, we hit the water well after 2:00 pm to try them out. We scouted more than we fished probably, but did manage to catch a couple of keeper crappie. one little largemouth bass and a shortie or two.

We experimented with various Bass Assassin colors today and caught fish on 3 different colors. A couple of colors only produced bites without hookups. Grin. We are blaming the fish for being so picky. We only took one pic, but it was a nice crappie and the new rod felt good. It is a 6' 6" Quantum X36 IM7 graphite Medium light and will be a good crappie/spotted bass rod. Lebron's new rod is an All Star 6' light action rod. He liked it too. But he did have a couple of Richard Simms casts with it. (Inside joke). Sorry, Richard. My bad.

DK your as good of a story teller as EricM. At least we got the Stink off our new Christmas presents. And I will call my Richard Sims casts technical adjustments. 😆 I think the exact color was "chicken and the kitchen sink" . 😆
