Nuttin wrong with being cheap....I still fish with telescoping poles!

To go cheap buy 10 pack 1/8 oz. johnsons marabou jigs at Walmart or farm store for1.50 and coat chenille on jigs with a thin coat of hot glue or super glue .one jig will catch 200 or more crappie before falling apart.

I tied these up to try in the river on the fly rod the next trip.

All of the above. Hair, plastic, feather (both hackle and marabou)

Me too. Nothing to be ashamed of. Lots of people do this around the world. Consequently, foreign poles use amazing technology.
