Depending on the weather in March, the white perch can either be shallow on the banks or still in the deep water channels--or both. Go to the southeast side of the lake where the houses are and you'll find a couple of inlets where the old Bayou Macon channel is. If they're still deep, fish anywhere from 12-20 feet deep until you find them. If they've moved shallow, fish about 12-18 inches deep out from the rocks in these same inlets in 2-3 feet of water. Also go to the northwest corner and fish the inlet behind the marina that's sort of along the highway. Fish shallow along the bank and just drift around fishing about 4-6 feet deep. It gets mighty crowded in all of these places. I go to PP quite a bit in the spring but the number of fish I've caught has gone down dramatically over the last few years, although the quality of the fish is still good.
