Good report, thanks for sharing. Sorry about the bad luck on the second day.

Since I am stuck waiting on a new starter to arrive my buddy from Ft. Bragg brought his boat up and we hit Harris around 9am last Thursday. Winds were terrible and it was hard to get out of it but we managed some really nice slabs in 25' of water. Water temp was in mid to high 50's all day.
Tried again yesterday and first thing I noticed was the water temp had jumped into the low 60's. Wind wasn't as bad so we were able to sit over some spots we marked fish in Thursday and fished the spots we had success in with no luck. I managed a 9.5" for the only crappie of the day. Marked plenty of fish, seems nothing was biting.

Sometimes when I am fishing out of the wind, I think of this joke:
A police officer sees a drunken man intently searching the ground near a lamppost and asks him the goal of his quest. The inebriate replies that he is looking for his car keys, and the officer helps for a few minutes without success then he asks whether the man is certain that he dropped the keys near the lamppost.
“No,” is the reply, “I lost the keys somewhere across the street.” “Why look here?” asks the surprised and irritated officer. “The light is much better here,” the intoxicated man responds with aplomb.
