Good Job Sore Lip! Maybe I'll see you out there later this week. I'm off for Christmas and Crappie Fishing is what I'm giving myself for Christmas.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

Thank you. I was hoping to catch the attention of your buddy Drumking and earn an invite to fish with the master. I've been trying to emulate his finesse fishing techniques just based on his posts. The way he catches quality fish year round is impressive.

Be careful out there. Lake is low.

DK IS DA MAN! and he is a excellent teacher. I'm sure he would like to hear from you, just pm him and run your questions by him. He always seems ready to talk Crappie! < bad pun.

    Keep on

I am so glad to read that you like the Chicken on a Chain lure. It is a fantastic color at times. I will tell you like I tell all others - "Don't fall in love with a favorite lure or color. It will break your heart like your first girlfriend." Grin. Oh, BTW, my favorite color and lure changes with the water clarity and seasonal movements of the fish. Thanks for the post and congratulations on the Chickamauga crappie catch. I don't brave winds like that usually.

You do look cold! I lived in Manchester for 10 years and did some of that myself with good success. I always looked for the days with little to no wind before I would go, but did launch in 24 to 27* a few times. River channel timber in 50 fow was the ticket for me. Some very good trips came in the winter, they just weren't very long. And there are no GOOD gloves that I found yet, every one was a compromise. No fingertip fleece worked best for me.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
