No music for me on the lake, I very rarely listen to it while driving. I like quiet myself, or good conversation. And (c)rap ain't music, bunch of no talent hacks with IQ's lower then their pant size spitting out X rated nursery rhymes, no thanks..

I rarely have anything but mother nature and conversations in the boat.

Last summer my wife and I were on KY lake, near the west shore when we started hearing music. Even though I have no idea who the artist was, I could make out every word so that left rap and AC/DC out. We finally figured out it was coming from a pontoon boat not far from the east bank, almost a mile away. Those folks on that pontoon had to have blood coming from their ears from music that loud.

That's what they said about me back in the 60's when I was listening to Dylan, the Stones, and Jefferson Airplane.

I use Bluetooth earbuds while I'm fishing. No cords to get in my way. I enjoy listening to music while I'm out there by myself. I'd rather hear that it than somebody talking on cell phone. Good gracious, everybody got to be on a phone now days. Now when I get close to someone I'll take one earbud out so if they want to speak to me I can hear them so they won't think l'm ignoring them. Use them on my IPhone or iPod. Best to have them hooked up to power cord from your 12v so if you do need to use your phone you won't have drained your phone battery. Just me.

I like music at times. Doesn't affect the fish. Johnny Cash to Rick James and lots in between.

I don't listen to music in the boat .... but think it's OK if others do as long as they are considerate of others.

I really dislike those who blast music LOUD when I'm outdoors....whether it's camping, fishing, etc. It's just plain rude to play loud music outside. I think the headphones would be the best idea.

One time at Kentucky lake .... I was tent camping and fishing. An extremely rowdy group came in and at 3 am they were still blasting music as loud as their boomer could go. I had enough and picked up my hatchet and went over there ..... lucky for me they were all passed out, I would have probably gotten killed. I picked up the radio and tossed it in the lake. It was quiet the next night. They must have only brought one.

Loud generators at a campsite should be outlawed. Campers had a bus and parked where there was no electric hookup by choice, no problem for them, they had a generator that was louder than a push mower.

I have never used the radio in my boat when I was fishing. I only have used it when my wife is with me and we are just joy riding. There won't be any rap on my radio. If I had XM, it would be Fox News.
