    Great advice DK. I went with a fried who is a fisherman and we caught 18 that weight 18 lbs on the dot.
    He showed me what you were telling me...ie, the only so very slight thump or line tightening and the need to quickly set hook.
    I'm convinced Ibe been missi.g a lot of crappie by simply failing to reognize the subtle sign s that a crappie was mouthing my bait.
