sickle hooks
Been reading alot of old post about minnow teasers on sickle hooks.... never fished em and was wondering what the craze was about. Better minnow presentation, hook up ratio, bulky size? Any input?

I use them because of the hook up. Most of the time they will be hooked right in the roof of the mouth in the hard part. I have used the Matzuo since the first came out and now have shifted to the Eagle Claw Lil nasty jig hook and they just came out with a straight shank sickle minnow hook.

Hook up ratio for me. I have switched everything over to sickle hooks. Jigs, jig heads, bladed jig heads, teasers, and straight shank minnow hooks

The teaser part, helps sometimes if you find the right color. 99% of the time a minnow is all you need. As for sickle hooks, I don't like them. They don't hold a minnow worth a flip. Everyone is always looking for a magic pill. Gives you something to spend your money on I guess. If it gives you confidence, go for it.
