Well said and good record keeping. I too like the bigger baits for some presentations. I have been known to split the tail on the slab slayer, moves a bunch easier. Good looking fish too.

I calculate my totals, and look at the things that I have learned at the end of each year. I started keeping logs in 2008 when I moved home to Western KY and back to fishing KY Lake and Lake Barkley. I refer to my logs alot when I see patterns changing, weather or seasonal averages, pre-spawn, ect.....

Oh I plan too! I have two more solid fishing weeks ahead of me starting Wednesday. Y'all sure have a beautiful fishery up there. I push a couple of tank barges across KY lake most every month on my way back from Decatur, AL/Wheeler lake. It's probably my favorite part of the trip. I'm going to drag my boat up there one of these days.

Thanks, these lakes are very pretty, and can be very dangerous as well. I'm sure you know that. I have witnessed 8ft+ swells on the main lake.
Love the challenge of fishing different lakes in different states, and have several on the bucket list that littlemama and I need to go tackle!

I'll have to try that, it's a great bait but I think the Slab Slanger has a little better action. Like I said before, I really wish Strike King offered a 3" version.

She gets nasty quick when that wind blows straight down the lake. I've taken green water over the bow like I was running blue water ships again. Seen 1" barge wires pop like like match sticks out on the tow in a storm out there.
