Been waiting on this post all day. Glad you and the wife were able to go and catch a few. Maybe next weekend we can get together and start you on tight lining. Thanks for sharing.

Well it was refreshing today, launch at the state park at 0900, was around 38 degrees, reached 44 or so, but wouldnt know it because of the wind. Lots of small catfish and only managed 4 smaller crappie with largest around 11" and one nice striper, which still has me laughing watching my wife fighting it on a crappie rod as it was the first time she hooked up with one. All the crappie were deep suspended 5-10 ft off the bottom in 35'. I was amazed when i saw they were crappie as the school was massive on my screen but disappointed only a coupl bit. Only brought the striper home at 22". was off the lake by 330pm.

definitely don, been talking to stumpjumper (eddy) also, maybe all three of us can get out next weekend. That would be a blast. I will admit i was chilled after 6 hours. Ana is going shooting with the ladies tomorrow so may sneak off to the lake and try the lower side that im more familiar with. Tried depth all the way from 15-35 ft today, usually crapie sit on top of the ledges, but they were down in the bottom of the steep drop offs off the ledges. They looked like they were trying to find the deepest pockets in the area like they do in the winters for ice fishing.
