    Default Archusa report 12/7/2016

Well it's getting colder 48° this morning when I went fishing. The water temp. was down to 57° now and the weatherman said to look for 20's this weekend. The wind was 2 to 3 mph from the North and misting rain but the fish were biting. They will be starting the winter draw down on Archusa Friday 12/9/2016 so I just had to go fishing this morning. I caught 19 to be fillet and fried up to take to Church tonight as we are having our monthly business reports and fellowship supper. Crappie caught on minnows and black/chartreuse jigs. Water depth 15' and fishing 7' deep.

    Tight lines and Merry Christmas.

Rees when they lower the lake it is very shallow. It is not a deep lake to start with and when lowered it is very shallow. Small boats like mine do ok but I would not really want to put a big rig in although some do. The boat docks are not usable as they are slam out of the water during drawdown. The boat ramp will allow boats to be put in but if you don't have a very long rope or someone to be in the boat at launch you may have to get your feet wet. Here are some pictures of Archusa at drawdown. I am just saying enter at your own risk I would not want to know I steered someone wrong.
