    Default Wateree 12-7-16

A nice day on the water with light wind & fish biting.

Started out about 8 this morning from Colonels creek. Didn't have to go far before we saw birds working. At out first stop, we caught 4 on a-rigs & about 6 on live shad down about 24'. After a while thing got quit so we headed up river in the fog.

Out from the mouth on June creek, I marked some good schools. Dropped live shad down to close to the bottom in 24'. Here we caught the rest of our fish. Most were about 5 to 6 lbs, all on live shad.

Quit about 1 PM with 13 stripers & 4 cats in cooler. We threw back 4 more small stripers.

Can you tell a difference in the taste from the stripers from Wateree vs another Lake?

I surely taste a difference in striper from wateree vs another lake. Every person has that 1 friend who says "when are you going to bring me some fish." They usually get wateree striper from me. However i have a unique way of making them. Pics will be upcoming once i get down to it.

    Nice catch!

No lead core! Just casting & counting them down to around 20'. We only caught 4 on the A-rig. Too many bites on live bait.
