Welcome to the gang, I fish a lot at NWR. Speckle75 is spot on as river crappie don't get as large as you would think. I fish out of a silver polar Kraft. name is Dave. Hope to see you out on the water soon.

I don't fish the NWR a lot but on my best day there I caught 66. Very rare to catch one over 1lb. Spoke to the biologist there one year during our bash and to put it simply, it's just not a good body of water for big crappie. I think my biggest there is 13" and weighed 1lb 5oz.

If you are launching with a trailer , back n slowly until you get a feel for the low spot and end of ramp. Can't wait for some perch!!

Welcome, lots of good folks and info here. I fished Bradford as a kid in the 60's, catching lots of nice bluegills on fly rod and poppers. saw my first water moccasin there when I was about 12! My buddy did what had be a world record standing broad jump out of the water and up the bank and ran all the way home.
Thank you guys for making me feel welcome in the forum and I can't wait to meet yall in the tournament in january but I hope to come fishing there asap.
