    Default Old hickory 12/3/16

Had a great day today. Didn't get a limit but a lot of fish caught!!! 8 keeper crappie, 12-15 blue gills and 1 bass that was 15". All the keeper crappie were shallow which was a surprise.

Good Post. How shallow were they? Minners and a float?

I have been on crappie.com for almost 6 years now. I do post quite a bit in the bluegill forum and in the crappie forum in spring...fall....and a little bit of winter. But this last spring I wore Dale Hollow out fishing for Smallies and Gills....Pickwick for whites...Smallies.....and Gills. I only made I think it was 5 crappie trips this past spring. A great forum...and a big forum.......with a ton of info.

    Regards

Yea I've learned a lot from this forum. I was creeping around for a couple months and decided to join. It's a lot like FishingTN.

Hey Skillet01 - thanks for the post. I'm new to the area and am looking for Crappie in OHL as well. I've only been out a couple times and haven't found many Crappie yet. Thinking I'm going to have to get a depth finder.
