Beautiful place Duck, some of my ancestors are from there. It good to see some pictures of the place.

Speaking of wind, I just drove back from San Diego with a tail wind. Through the mountains of CA it wasn't to bad for driving. From Tuscon to El Paso it was a dust storm. It wasn't too thick to drive in but it sure made breathing hard. The 80 mph speed limit of west Texas is something else and people were still passing me up. In the mountains it was 70 and 75 which really unnerved Linda. If I would have listened to her we would still be putting along at 45. Glad to be back home and hoping to wet a line soon.

That's the truth Gene. Many of the two lane Texas highways, such as 190 and 59, have the shoulders wide as a lane. Us Texas folks pull over in that "lane" while maintaining speed so others can pass. It happens regular. The fastest speed limit in the nation is the one running southeast of San Antonio at 85 mph.

Instant Road Rage is a hundred folks running the road at 70 MPH ---- and suddenly have a rolling Road Block moving at 40 ---- if the government let others own Hand Granades ,,, Road repair Crews would have some more Road Blocks

That is a great idea that the state of Louisiana hasn't been convinced of yet! It is against the law to do that in Louisiana, I know people that have gotten tickets for doing that very thing!

Well, that's cause the roads are substandard and the shoulders are subsubstandard in La. I pull over to the shoulder with my camper and let people pass in Texas, cause I trust the roads.
