First off, wanna say, this is my first post. I'm a diesel mechanic in Madison, and a semi amateur professional fisherman. Not really. I've been creeping around here and taking in all the info I can. I usually use fishingtn.com as my main forum and share my trips over there. Anyways....I'm going to hit old hickory tomorrow. I haven't been out there in about 3weeks and was wondering if anyone had any info on the crappie. Deep? Shallow? Mid depth? Or am I just gonna have to figure it all out on my own?? Lol. I'll report what happens

Great post and loved the pics. Sorry, don't fish those waters. If you make it over to ky lake, give a hollar on the ky board.
Great pictures ! Welcome to c.c from north Alabama I love to see those young uns catching those fish!
Thanks guys. I'm trying to keep him interested in fishing. Lol. It's not hard to do as long as the action is hot and fast. Lol.
crp4570 I've only bass fished KY lake twice. First time was one of the best days I've ever had on the water. The other was a bust
Slabprowler I'm from Alabama, down in Alex city. Fished Lake Martin regularly. Loved night fishing with lights under bridges. Always caught a ton of fish.

Welcome, I great first post, keep them coming!
Found fish deep and shallow but they were really finicky. Wasn't really eating our minnows. They'd take the minnow and pull the float under but no hook in their mouth. The fish that were caught were nice and had some shoulders on them. Bigger fish were shallow. Caught shorts in the deeper water.
