Does anyone sell jigs similar to the old Doll Fly? I ran across some that must be 40 years old and they still work great. Hoping there is a vendor on this site that ties something similar

Theres some legal suppliers for polar bear but you'll have to get paperwork for it - you could use artic fox, calf body hair, calf tail, white bunny tied sparsely or the closest you might get is if you can find a tanned skunk skin and use the white stripe hair (got that idea from a steelheader).
Some were also tied with maribou but the polar bear were the ones.
I have one original left, and would love to find a mold to make the wedge heads.
I have some Polar Bear and tied these up

If you want the Polar Bear kind, maybe Fatman will sell you some, but most that have it will not sell it because it's too hard to get and too costly. I think he just got lucky and probably should hold his for life, lol! I have some my self, but never sell jigs tied with it!

that jig goes way back when I was a kid about 13 that is all we had in Portland Oregon we do have original heads that they were made from from the manufacture that made them in Portland Oregon they were a standby for many years we Tied those jigs or over 55 years . this is back before we had any plastics and that was the only jig that was available we had three colors to pick from white yellow and black I have caught more crappie on them on anything else that I have ever used.
I would like to mention that I have caught every warm water game fish there is on using jigs and tied just to mention a few fish crappie perch bluegill bass both species steelhead salmon carp all kinds of white fish and probably a few more that I have not mentioned I've got tons of trout if I was to pick one thing to go fishing with and had to depend on it it would be a hand-tied jig.
The head on my original is a tad under 1/16th - but it's not a walleye head. Even the original walleye head has the hook further back. Looked at the new mold and even to use that I'd have to cut the lead off it. I tell you that original head just came right through rocks really well.
On the Polar Bear I'd have to do a bunch of paperwork to sell any and it's just not worth it!!LOL Had to do enough to get what I have.
Lots of different heads were used - if you look on ebay for doll fly jigs you'll see a bunch. A buddy bought 3 different auctions and ended up sending them back they were really rusted.
