I used to use the glow baits somewhat sparingly last few years until my last salmon fishing trip and found that the guys had very good luck with casting glow spoons during daylight hours. So im thinking why not crappie as well. And so last couple years I have been giving the glow baits a fair shot during daylight hours and when the bite slowed with other baits and to my surprise they do work and sometimes have out fished the other baits greatly.

I seldom fish at night . I do like to use large glow baits (orange/ chartreuse or solid chartreuse ) when fish are real aggressive in spring but when water muddies up or extra deep those big 2.5'' tubes on a 1/4 oz head seems to help even more .

I also use the Outlaw Special and have done well on it. I use it during the day. I think they like it because of the subdued chartreuse color not glowing. Just guessing but do know they like it. Whiskers got me started on using it.

I have only used them a few times with any luck. They will catch fish but not anymore the anything else I've used. I can only recall one time that they may a big difference.

Outlaw is the only glow color I use... I do cast it a lot at night and some during the day... Always seems to catch fish

During our ice season, I use glow baits 100% of the time. They're fantastic under the ice.
