Thoughts on fillet knives please - Bubba Blade or Cutco

Black and Decker carving knife from Wally World is the best I've found. Works better and longer blade life then the ones designed for fishing!

I appreciate all the quick responses. Seems the Dexter-Russel seems popular. And, a positive endorsement on the Cutco. Withe the Dexter-Russel price point, I might try both the Cutco (with lifetime guarantee/sharpening) and Dexter-Russel. Thank you very much.

Walk up to all the cleaning tables where all the pay to play sport boats come in and 90% are using Dexter Russel. And them guys clean a bunch of fish.

Okay. I ordered a Dexter-Russell. Found one online with a sheath. Let's see how often I use it since I don't often bring fish home...so it should stay sharp and last. Thanks to all for your thoughts and recommendations.

I'm a captain in Florida in the summers so I'm guessing you are talking about guys like me... haha and I can tell you if you come down to our docks you will see 99 percent victorinox... they are the best knifes by far.. they sharpen every time and with little effort... get an Arkansas ceramic rod with the wooden handle from Amazon to sharpen and I promise you will be happy as a crappie in the spring!

I have an old Cutco I use when I hunt .....its about all that for sure .....will open tough hide like butter and is scary sharp

Maybe I'll be adding a Cutco soon. We all need to treat ourselves every once in a while. I did order a Dexter-Russell sani-safe.

Yep guys just like you. Have not seen any Victorinox around here but they do have some nice blades and been looking at a 4 blade set. Might just pull the trigger with that recommendation.

If you're got to have a plan knife and not a electric I'm a believer in the Rapala for the $ it's hard to bet. I have one I've cleaned over 200 fish with and not sharpened yet.
