Rob, it will prevent you from catching the dry fish. However, with your jigs you probably will catch a bunch.
It didn't hurt at all. I hit Cypress at noon today. Caught one dink and eight slabs on cranks. Made a big mistake. I charged two batteries but the one in the boat wasn't one of them and I ran off and left the two hot batteries in the garage. Only trolled an hour in the relentless wind before the only one I had in the boat died. I want to go back tomorrow so bad, but am already committed to the in-laws. I've almost talked myself into trying some night crankin'. If not, it's on Friday. If you go, hit 'em deep. I caught almost every one running 16-18' in 20-28 fow. Pearl Bandits caught all but two. One dink and one biggin' on mad cow. Tried to drift with four double jig poles after my battery croaked. Notta. Found a few good tops with fish and pulled over them three times to catch the eight slabs I managed to pull out.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.
Go see
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
