    Default Wateree Wednesday the 16th

Bigdawgg, Uncle Remus and I hit the water about 8:30 wandered out in the fog looking for signs of life. Finally found some bait and a few fish busting bait we got set up and started trolling for Linesiders The Dog and I were pulling shad and Remus had one of those artificial baits and was the first to break the skunk.
The fish were deep most were in 40-45fow temps ran 63-64 degrees.
At the end of the day we have 7 keepers a couple toss backs. I managed to get one in the boat and an assist for the Dawgg.
The smoke was thick in June Creek but cleared up once we hit the main channel, turned into a great day to be on the water, good company and low wind speeds.
I think we'd have done better if we'd have down lined the shad about 35-40 ft and just drifted with the wind, I've got 20/20 hindsight.

Glad that all of you got to go and glad you caught fish. I rode out on Murray this afternoon looking for some fish. What I saw on the graph was the fish was down around 25 to 40 ft depending on how deep the water was. Thanks for sharing.

Good job! Hard to beat simply being on the water in this kind of weather.

This smoke can be tough but good to hear y'all found some to put in the boat.

I figured out why the bait tank wasn't blowing G bubbles. The pick up tube was OK I had some dog hair in the impeller, I've got to keep the dogs from swimming in the bait tank

Was a good day for sure to be together and fish on a lake with some water! Learned a few things about the lake and enjoyed fishing with both of you as always. Maybe next time we will get into some bigger fish and remember the camera. Maybe next trip we can get back together on Wylie for a perch jerk and catch some crappies tight lining. Thanks for the report Grady and a good guided trip!
