    Default Grand Slam


    Linda and I did a short afternoon trip yesterday and came home with a grand slam. We couldn't find a concentration of fish but we did bring home supper. I caught the bass and catfish, and Linda caught the sac and gill. I was fishing a home tied blue and chartreuse marabou jig and Linda fished a black and chartreuse tube jig. The bass and catfish gave my new reel won at the D'Arbonne gathering a good workout. While heaver than the Solo reels that I like very much it has it's advantages with a star drag, free spool, and big handle. I think I'm gonna like this reel.

    We met Bobfish at the landing and he had a very nice mess of some big slabs.

    Eagle Claw ice reel, usually sportsman guide has best price on them.
