Thread: Beautiful morning on the lake

It was a beautiful morning on the lake. We got to the ramp just after sun up.



There was some sea weed in the slip but I think there was more on the ramp. That made for a lot of tires spinning. But we got out on the water with out any real problems. It was calm this morning and the trolling motor had any easy day for a change.

There was a cold front moving through and you cold tell where it was.



We made our first pass and it was not long before we had the first keeper in the box.



We were using Les' boat so it was only right that he got the first keeper. But I did land and release the first 4 before his rod bent.

With little to no wind we were able to move around the lake as we wanted to. We saw a cluster of boats out towards the center of the lake so we headed that way. But dang, those rods kept going off as we headed over there.

We did make it to the pack, did a few circles then headed back to the ramp. We were able to bend a rod almost every where we were. They were not all keepers but we did hit "my 12 fish limit" for the cooler. We left them biting.
